Fight climate crisis and energy crisis from your balcony

Technologies against the climate crisis already exist. Now you just have to use them! Or did you think that solar systems are only for homeowners? Not with us. We bring solar panels exactly where you use electricity: whether in the city or in the country, whether in a rental apartment or in condominiums.

Our solar panels weigh only 5kg and can be easily attached to your balcony railing with ratchet straps.

From the solar panel the electricity flows through the external socket directly into your apartment. And is used there automatically by refrigerator and Co.

Because your appliances use the power from the solar balcony, they don’t have to draw it from the grid. Et voilà: Your electricity bill goes down.

Sounds too simple to be true? That’s what we thought at first. But in fact, the technology has been around for more than 20 years. So why don’t many more people have solar panels on their balconies?! That’s exactly what we ask ourselves.

The idea is simply far too little known. We will change that!

Is that even allowed?

Yes! In Switzerland, you are allowed to commission solar systems up to 600W inverter output without an installer.

Expert knowledge? You don’t need it. If you have already plugged a plug into a socket, you are well prepared for the installation of your solar balcony.

Depending on the size of your balcony and your power consumption, you can simply hang one or two solar panels on your balcony railing and plug them into the socket.

Urgent need for website relaunch

With the first 25,000 we want to give our website a really much needed relaunch: For three years we have been working with the first simple «draft», so to speak.

In the meantime, however, so much has changed:

We sometimes have to cope with big rushes of website visitors (e.g. after our appearance in Kassensturz see link below). This is of course wonderful - but we want to be technically prepared for this in the future.

We always get positive feedback for the website. Because it is so easy to understand - even for those who have nothing to do with technology. Nevertheless, we want to offer more for those of you who want to delve deeper into the subject.

With a new website we can help more people to get their personal solar system. Because all those balcony railings without solar panels almost drive us crazy ;)

With the Impact Fund Boost we want to further develop the Solarbalkon itself. Multiple small panels are easier to ship and even easier to install. That’s where we want to go.
