What is it about?

«Phaneros» is a nature-inspired, interdisciplinary performance series that celebrates the intricate world of trees.

Our all-female «pendula ensemble» blends contemporary music, dance, and an art-space installation that aspires to create a forest-like room, immersing the audience into an acoustic-visual experience.

The program, which lasts about 50 minutes, features four original compositions as well as works from contemporary composers that complement the theme in sound and concept.

Our goal is to make a difference both culturally and ethically by allowing the audience to experience the tree landscape in a new way, using music, movement, and visual art, while also fostering gender equity.

Who we are

pendula ensemble are:

  • Aimi Sugo (piano)
  • Alina Müller-Chebotarova (cello)
  • Laetitita Kohler (choreography, dance)
  • Lea Gasser (composition, accordion)
  • Malin Pedrazzini (nickelharpa)
  • Martina Ehleiter (art installation, scenography)
  • Minna Heikkilä (art installation, light design)
  • Nicole Fior-Greant (creative direction, composition)

«pendula ensemble» was founded in 2022 by Nicole Fior-Greant with the vision of fostering awareness of climate and environmental issues through multi-disciplinary experiences created and performed by female artists.

The ensemble works collectively to create thought-provoking performances that connect the audience more deeply to nature.

We need you!

We finance ourselves partly through grants, as well as donations like yours. Your contribution is incredibly valuable to us and we would be honored to have your support.

While we have already secured funding for our performance in Bern, we still need help to bring our shows to Basel and Zurich.

We’re excited to showcase the talents of women in the arts and connect with nature through our interdisciplinary performance, and we’re sure that you’ll find it to be a unique experience.

Your support will allow us to cover the costs associated with our performances, including administration and licensing fees, personnel costs, promotion and publicity, rental of performance equipment, and the salaries of all artists involved. Additionally, as a new ensemble, your support will help us take our first steps and establish ourselves for future concerts.

If we exceed our funding target, any extra funds raised will go towards covering our operating costs (such as website and culture management) and organizing future concerts.

Thank you for considering supporting our artistic endeavors!
